Introducing Radical Moderate: Leading with Boldness & Balance
In a time of growing division and loud extremes, Radical Moderate asks a simple but powerful question: how do we lead, govern and create change without tearing each other apart? The collection brings together voices from politics, community, media, philanthropy, faith, technology and evaluation to explore a different way forward – one that is bold in its values, but open in its methods.
A “radical moderate” is not a fence-sitter. It’s someone willing to hold strong views while also listening deeply, engaging with evidence, and working across differences. This document argues that the “messy middle” – where disagreement is welcomed, complexity is acknowledged and compromise is possible – is where real, lasting solutions are found. Radical Moderate invites readers to reclaim that middle ground as a place of courage, curiosity and constructive action.
