The Festival of Community Directors is dedicated to providing the best tips, tools and training to community directors to help improve governance and leadership in the community sector.

To do this, the Festival has a number of partners to ensure all information is coming from the experts.

One of our major partners, CommBank, is sponsoring the Second Virtual Disability Conference.

The conference is hosted by the Scope - University of Melbourne partnership, together with Ability First Australia and the Australian Federation of Disability Organisations.

The theme for the conference is “Exploring inclusion: the Australian disability community in conversation online”.

In 2020 the conference will focus on inclusion of people with disabilities in all aspects of society. The way that society views people with disabilities impacts on their experience of inclusion and the barriers they face. How can services, supports, researchers and policy makers work effectively with people with disabilities to facilitate full inclusion and optimise quality of life.

The role people with disabilities can play in changing systems will be explored.

The conference will be online so people can access the conference in their home or workplace. The conference starts at 11.00am and will conclude at 5pm on Tuesday 31st March, 2020.
