Fifty-fifty representation is equal, and anything else isn’t good enough. On International Women’s Day (8 March 2021) we celebrate women’s achievements throughout the world. But it’s also important to remember that the push for equality is far from over. Community directors need to lead by example and strive for gender equality. In the week preceding International Women’s Day, the Festival of Community Directors will celebrate Gender Equality Week, hosting a webinar on what steps you need to take to achieve gender equality on your boards, and in your workplace.

WEBINAR: Towards Gender Equality, 1PM-2PM AEDT

Is your organisation doing enough in pursuit of gender equality? What is the makeup of your board? How about your staff? It’s easy to say you’d like to achieve gender equality in your workplace, but simply saying it isn’t enough. What processes can you put in place to ensure you’re giving everyone an equal chance to win positions in your group, and what can you do to ensure you’re providing the conditions they need to succeed? Join ICDA for a special Festival of Community Directors webinar which will help steer you in the right direction.
