Women Leading Locally

Supporting women to become community leaders

The Women Leading Locally program aims to increase the representation of women councillors and mayors in Victoria by supporting 120 women drawn from 30 target municipalities through two 12-month fellowships.

The program welcomes and encourages the involvement of trans women, queer and LGBTQI+ women, women with disability or physical or mental health challenges, First Nations women, women from all cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, women from all parts of Victoria (country, city and everything in between), young women and older women and all ages in between – all are encouraged to apply. The key requirement is that you have deep roots in and a passion for your local community.

Applications to Apply for a Women Leading Locally Fellowship will open on 6 March 2023.

In the meantime, you can read the Fellowship FAQ page for further information or join our mailing list below.
